Katie Hyams
Dr Katie Hyams has worked in science and health communication for the past seven years. Recently she has worked freelance, writing for a wide variety of publications, both academic and general and in both traditional print media and online. She specialises in communicating complex scientific material to a lay audience and much of her work involves the production of patient material, communicating clinical findings to the press and public, explaining research for policy documents and campaigns, conference reporting and consultancy.

Katie has an MA in Biological Sciences from Oxford University and a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University College London.
